Provost's Message

The Charutar Arogya Mandal was established in 1972 as a non-profit Trust and Society with the mission to provide healthcare facilities and quality education in a rural area of Central Gujarat. The Founding Chairman, the Late Dr H M Patel, a prudent academician and philanthropist led the institution with a legacy encapsulated by the motto “Solace for the Suffering”.  Dr. H M Patel also served as the former Union Finance and Home Minister, Government of India. Since its inception, the Charutar Arogya Mandal has made significant strides in fulfilling the vision set by its leaders, achieving commendable progress in both healthcare and education.

In 1987, Pramukhswami Medical College was founded with a mission to serve the society. In 2019, the Government of Gujarat granted Charutar Arogya Mandal the status of a Private University under the State Private University Act 2009, leading to the establishment of BHAIKAKA UNIVERSITY. Named in honour of an illustrious and accomplished academician, Late Shri Bhailalbhai Patel, affectionately known as Bhaikaka, who played a pivotal role in setting up Vallabh Vidyanagar as an educational hub in the rural Charutar region, spanning from Ahmedabad to Baroda in the Gujarat state.

Located on a lush 100-acre campus in Karamsad, Dist Anand, Gujarat, Bhaikaka University boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure and a 1000 bed multi-disciplinary super-specialty hospital conducive to advanced teaching, learning, and research. The university offers programs in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences, alongside its Medical programs, setting benchmarks in excellence to surpass targets continually.

A strong believer and practitioner of the dictum “Knowledge is Power”, Bhaikaka University has been on the path of delivering high-quality education to the students by inculcating ethical and moral values, nurturing leadership qualities, fostering research culture and cultivating innovative skills.
