Info Regarding DM Neonatology 2022

1) Tuition Fee: Rs. 15,00,000 /- per year.

2) Stipend:

First Year Rs. 01,00,800/- per month

Second Year Rs. 01,05,000/- per month

Third Year Rs. 01,12,000/- per month

3) Interest Free Loan:

Interest free loan can be availed upto maximum of 25% of the total fee with 1 year service bond. The loan can be paid from salary during the service period of One year after passing DM Program.

4) Accommodation:

Shared accommodation available on campus with combined hostel and mess fee of Rs. 90,000/- per year.

5) About the Department of Neonatology:

Shree Krishna Hospital, the teaching hospital of Medical College, is the only facility of its kind between the cities of Ahmedabad and Vadodara. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) was established in year 2000 when MD and DCH Pediatrics programs started.

The NICU has been upgraded over the last two decades with state-of-the-art facilities and now has separate inborn and outborn NICU wings at different locations in the hospital. The bed occupancy in the department over the last 3 years ranges from 75 to 85 percent. The Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology handles complex obstetrics cases. The Dept. of Neonatology also receives critical neonates directly referred from PHCs, CHCs, and private Pediatricians in the districts of Anand and Kheda.

The department has two professors with experience in Neonatology of 13 and 10 years respectively, and one Assistant Professor with experience in Neonatology of 4 years. The faculty of the department are actively involved in leadership roles in Neonatal Resuscitation program of IAP and NNF for several years. Dr. Somashekhar Nimbalkar, Head of the Department is the editor and on the editorial board of several journals. He is a founder trustee of the KMC foundation, India. The faculty of the department have published overall 110 papers in PubMed indexed journals.
