Bhaikaka University Extends MoU with Sardar Patel University for Enhanced Collaboration

On October 25, 2024, Bhaikaka University, Karamsad extended its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar for three years. This collaboration focuses on Research & Development, Education & Training, Healthcare, and Facility Utilization.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in the Board Room of the Management Centre at Bhaikaka University. It was attended by several distinguished guests, including Dr. Abhay Dharamsi (Provost, Bhaikaka University), and Dr. Niranjan Patel (Vice Chancellor, Sardar Patel University), Dr. Jyoti Tiwari (Registrar, Bhaikaka University), and Shri Bhailal Patel (Registrar, Sardar Patel University). Other notable attendees included Dr. Vikram Naidu (Chief Operating Officer), Dr. Jitesh Desai (Medical Superintendent), Dr. Shirish Srivastava (Head, Surgery Department) and Dr. Bhalendu Vaishnav (Head, Medicine Department), Dr. Harihara Prakash and Dr. Sonal Chitroda, Principals of the constituent institutions of Bhaikaka University and Dr. Vaidehi Patel (Medical Officer, Sardar Patel University) were present for the ceremony.
 
As a part of MOU, class three and four employees and their families from Sardar Patel University will be covered under the Ashirwad Scheme offered at Shree Krishna Hospital. This scheme offers concessional or free treatment for needy patients. Additionally, talks on disease management and enhanced care will be arranged by the Expert Doctors of Bhaikaka University for the employees and students of Sardar Patel University.
 
It was proposed that a health kiosk will be installed at S. P. University, providing primary screenings for students, staff, and faculties. In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, a comprehensive cancer screening camp will also be organized at Sardar Patel University.
 
Further, it was agreed to provide consultation to students and empoyees for obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, cardiology and pediatrics by the doctors of Bhaikaka University.
