Pramukhswami Medical College, Department of Pharmacology, Bhaikaka University is celebrating pharmacovigilance week between 17th September and 23rd September 2021 under the aegis of the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (NCC-PvPI). The theme of the program is: “Pharmacovigilance: A step towards patient safety”
A week-long program was inaugurated on 17th September 2021. The Provost of Bhaikaka University, Dr. Utpala Kharod, and Dean of Pramukhswami Medical College, Dr. Himanshu Pandya graced the event. Dr. Bharat Gajjar, Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacology welcomed the dignitaries and talked about the importance of pharmacovigilance.
Under a week-long program, various competitions have been planned, where medical and paramedical faculties as well as students participated wholeheartedly. On the second day, the Rangoli competition was organized on the theme of “Pharmacovigilance and Patient safety week ”. A sensitization and awareness program regarding the importance of pharmacovigilance and various ways of reporting adverse drug reactions has been arranged for clinicians, nursing staff, and postgraduate students during the week-long program.
