Bhaikaka University organized the NRI Meet to promote Medical Tourism and Medical Education Tourism

Bhaikaka University organized the NRI Meet to promote Medical Tourism and Medical Education Tourism.

Bhaikaka University, Karamsad organized the NRI Meet on March 4, 2023, at the Privilege Centre with the association of Sardar Patel University and Gujarat Tourism Development Board. Nearly 50 NRI patrons and well-wishers from the USA and UK participated.

Shri Atul Patel (President, Bhaikaka University, and Chairman, Charutar Arogya Mandal), Shri Jagrut Bhatt (Hon. Secretary, Bhaikaka University, and Member, Governing Body, Charutar Arogya Mandal), Dr. Utpala Kharod (Provost, Bhaikaka University), Dr. Niranjanbhai Patel (Vice-Chancellor, Sardar Patel University), and Shri Surendrabhai Patel (Leader NRI Patrons) shared the dais.

On this occasion, Dr. Harish Desai (Registrar, Bhaikaka University), Dr. Jyoti Tiwari (Academic Controller, BU), and Dr. Jitesh Desai (Medical Superintendent, Shree Krishna Hospital) remained present.

Dr. Jitesh Desai and Dr. Jyoti Tiwari talked about the phase-wise facility upgrades in the hospital with the support of generous donations and the establishment of a university and courses run under the university, respectively.

Dr. Nirajanbhai Patel said, “Sardar Patel University receives Rs. 75 lakh grant from the Gujarat Government for developing tourism in the periphery of Sardar Patel University Colleges in Gujarat. Every year, approximately 2 million patients visit India for medical treatment. Tourists from Turkey, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Oman, Iraq, the Maldives, Nigeria, and Kenya are among the nations. The healthcare facilities are poor in these counties. NRI patients from developed countries also prefer medical treatment in India due to the long waiting periods and high treatment costs in their own countries. Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad, is providing the best medical treatment at a subsidized rate. The hospital has modern facilities and an efficient team of doctors."

Shri Surendrabhai lauded, “We should jointly work as a brand ambassador for Shree Krishna Hospital and spread awareness about the available facilities and transparency of the organization among NRI patrons. The organization has been providing the best medical treatment for the last 50 years."

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Atul Patel said, "The organization has grown by leaps and bounds and has become stronger. Our focus will be on quality; the modernization of the operation theater and nursing college requires external funding support."

He further added, “We have a large number of local donors and also urge the present NRI donors to provide funding support."
