Dr. Abhay Dharamsi Appointed as Provost of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad

Dr. Abhay Dharamsi is appointed as the  Provost of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad, with effect from 1st August 2024. With over 40 years of experience in pharmacy education and profession, Dr. Abhay brings a wealth of expertise and a forward-thinking vision to his role. His previous roles include serving as Dean at Parul University, Vadodara, and holding esteemed positions on national committees, such as the 7th Pay Review Committee for All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Peer Team Member of the NAAC and the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Selection Committee.

Dr. Dharamsi is renowned for his contributions to novel drug delivery systems, nano pharmaceuticals, and clinical & community pharmacy. He holds multiple patents, has authored numerous research papers, and received the International Professional Award from the International Biographical Center in Cambridge.

Shri Atul Patel, President,  Bhaikaka University, believes Dr. Dharamsi’s appointment as Provost will usher in a new era of excellence and innovation. Under his leadership, Bhaikaka University will continue its tradition of excellence while introducing new, specialized courses to advance medical education , research and patient care. Supported by Charutar Arogya Mandal, Karamsad, the university offers a diverse range of health professions programs through its seven constituent institutions. With a commitment to innovative teaching, research breakthroughs, and holistic student development, the university serves approximately 1,500 students across 82 courses, supported by over 250 teaching staff and 1,200 non-teaching staff, shaping the future of healthcare professionals in India.
