Dr. Jitesh Desai, Professor, General Surgery Department has been appointed as a Medical Superintendent of Patient Care Services of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad on 13th July 2022. He manages the 1000-bed Shree Krishna Hospital, Trauma and Emergency Centre, 172-bed Critical Care Centre, Cardiac Centre, Cancer Centre, Bone Marrow Transplant Centre, Privilege Centre, Mother & Child Care Centre, and Extension Centres. He is a good administrator and carries wide experience in managing Patient Care Services.
Earlier he was the Head of the General Surgery Department of Shree Krishna Hospital, a teaching hospital of Bhaikaka University. He held the post of President of the Gujarat State Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India. Currently, he is holding the post of Hon. Joint Secretary of the Indian Medical Association at Anand – Vidhyanagar. Under his leadership, the annual conference of Gujarat State Surgeons -GUJSURGEON 2015 was held at Karamsad Hospital. It was organized with the support of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI). Around 500 surgeons participated.
