ENT Department organizes - Two days Live Surgical Workshop

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad and the ENT association of Anand -Kheda Branch together organized a “ Two days Live Surgical Workshop at Bhikhabhai Auditorium of H M Patel Academic Centre.

The live surgical demonstration on Lateral Skull Base Surgery -Paraganlioma Excision and Stapes surgery was done on 4th November, 2023. The demonstration of Cadaveric Temporal Bone Dissection was performed on 5th November 2023.

Dr Shabbir Indorwala, Founder of Indorewala ENT Hospital, Nashik, Maharashtra and Dr Girish Mishra, Professor, Department of ORL & HNS, Pramukhswami Medical College, Karamsad performed the very complex and tedious surgery of Jugular Fossa Paraganlioma on 18-year boy.

Dr. Yojana Sharma, Head of the ENT Department of Shree Krishna Hospital said that Paragangliomas of the Jugular Fossa are exceedingly rare. Surgical management is challenging on account of complex anatomy and nearby critical structures. The 18-year-old boy has been diagnosed with hearing loss for five years. The patient is entitled to get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana (MA Yojana).

Nearly 93 ENT doctors and PG students from different parts of Gujarat enrolled in this workshop.
