K. M. Patel Institute of Physiotherapy of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad Celebrates 25 Years with National Quizcon 2024

K. M. Patel Institute of Physiotherapy, constituent institute of Bhaikaka University, recently hosted the National Quizcon 2024 on December 7, 2024. The event, themed "Physiotherapy: Transforming Past Challenges into the Future," marked the institute's 25th anniversary.
 
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Dr. Yagna Umesh Shukla, Chairperson of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) and President of the Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy (GSCPT).
 
Other notable attendees included Shri Atul Patel, President of Bhaikaka University; Dr. Abhay Dharamsi, Provost; Dr. Jyoti Tiwari, Registrar; Dr. Himanshu Pandya, Dean of Pramukhswami Medical College; Shri Amit Patel, Secretary of Charotar Arogya Mandal; Dr. Jitesh Desai, Superintendent of Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad; Dr. R. Harihara Prakash, Principal of K. M. Patel Institute of Physiotherapy College; heads of various institutions along with esteemed faculty members, staff, and students.
 
Dr. Shukla emphasized the significance of physiotherapy in the NCAHP Act and congratulated the institute on its 25-year milestone. She also highlighted the role of students in promoting the institution's reputation.
 
Dr. R. Harihara Prakash explained the role of physiotherapy in restoring movement and function after injuries or illnesses.
 
Shri Atul Patel announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art rehabilitation and research center to address neurological disorders.
 
Dr. Savita Ravindra, Professor and Principal M. S Ramaiah College of Physiotherapy, Bangalore, discussed the future of physiotherapy, emphasizing the importance of skill, knowledge, and cognitive abilities. Dr. Ali Irani, Head of Department Nanavati Hospital,Mumbai explored the use of brain mapping in physiotherapy, highlighting the reliability of brain-based assessments. Dr. Himanshu Pandya, Dean of Pramukhswami Medical College, emphasized the importance of healthcare professionalism in delivering quality patient care.
 
Kaushalbhai Patel and his family were honored for their generous contributions to the institute.
