PAA Alumni Meet & Family Get Together 2024: A Global Reunion of Healthcare Heroes Hosted by Bhaikaka University, Karamsad, and PSMC Alumni Association

Bhaikaka University, Karamsad, and PSMC Alumni Association hosted the highly anticipated “PAA Alumni Meet & Family Get Together -2024” at the prestigious Surya Palace, Vadodara, on December 1, 2024. The event brought together over 300 distinguished alumni from across the globe, creating a vibrant platform for reconnection, celebration, and inspiration.

 

The event was graced by dignitaries including Shri Atul Patel, President of Bhaikaka University; Dr. Abhay Dharamsi, Provost; Dr. Jyoti Tiwari, Registrar; Dr. Himanshu Pandya, Dean of Pramukhswami Medical College; Shri Amit Patel, Secretary of Charotar Arogya Mandal; Dr. Jitesh Desai, Superintendent of Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad; Dr. Chirayu Choksi, President of the Pramukhswami Medical College Alumni Association; Dr Manisha Gohel, Vice-President; Dr. Rajesh Patel, Secretary; and other esteemed members of the Alumni Association.

 

Dr. Chirayu Choksi said, "It is my great pleasure to welcome all alumni of PSMC. We look forward to connecting with you actively through this platform and strengthening our association by engaging more alumni to join and be a part of this growing network”.

 

Shri Atul Patel expressed great pride in the accomplishments of the Pramukhswami Medical College alumni. He underscored the significance of sustaining strong ties between the alumni and their alma mater and highlighted the pivotal role played by the PSMC Alumni Association (PAA) in nurturing these connections over the past 14 years. Shri Patel conveyed his hope for a future where the PAA continues to expand and flourish, inspiring future generations of healthcare professionals, and extended his heartfelt thanks for their unwavering support and commitment.

 

Dr. Himanshu Pandya mentioned that PSMC has a long-standing tradition of being connected with its students and alumni. As we move forward, we take pride in continuing this legacy and evolving into a leader in healthcare education. Additionally, I had the opportunity to meet with alumni in Florida, USA, and strengthen the bond we share.

 

The highlight of the event was the felicitation of 11 outstanding alumni who have made significant contributions to healthcare. The honorees, including Dr. Jagat Patel, Dr. Dharmik Patel, Dr. Shravan Dave, Dr. Rajul Parikh, Dr. Charu Gautam, Dr. Shaista Saiyad, Dr. Prashant Dave, Dr. Rushi Barot, Dr. Rakesh Joshi, Dr. Amiruddin Kadri, Dr. Mohammad Hussain Agarbattiwala, Dr. Shruti Dave, Dr. Sonia Dalal, Dr. Neel Thakkar, Dr. Ripal Shah, Dr. Sadika Kapadwala, and Dr. Afroza Syed, were recognized for their exceptional achievements and dedication to improving human lives.

 

The event also marked the launch of the new PAA newsletter and the unveiling of the USA chapter of the PAA. These initiatives aim to further strengthen the bond among alumni and promote global collaboration.

 

The event also showcased the remarkable journey of the college through a captivating PowerPoint presentation, highlighting the evolution of infrastructure, courses, and facilities at Bhaikaka University. A nostalgic trip down memory lane was provided through a display of old photographs capturing cherished moments from the alumni's college days.

 

The alumni actively participated in various fun activities, rekindling old friendships and forging new connections. They captured photographs with their old friends at the photo booth. The event served as a powerful platform to celebrate the global recognition and success of the alumni, further elevating the pride and prestige of Bhaikaka University and its alumni community.
