SKH teaching hospital of BU celebrated International Nurses Day 2023

Shree Krishna Hospital teaching hospital of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad, celebrated International Nurses Day 2023 at the Academic Centre of Bhaikaka University on May 11th to emphasise the need to empower nurses as a part of the global campaign "Our Nurses: Our Future."

The nursing staff is the backbone of the hospital's healthcare system, providing continuous service to patients. More than 430 nurses provide services in the outpatient department, in-patient department, and intensive care unit of the hospital. These nurses play an important role when it comes to improving hospital quality in general.

Therefore, the Human Resources Department of the university decided to felicitate the star nurses. For that vertical head and colleague nurses recommended the names of the 29 best nurses who have shown their excellence in patient care.

Dr. Utpala Kharod (Provost, Bhaikaka University), Dr. Himanshu Pandya (Dean, Pramukhswami Medical College), Dr. Monica Gupta (Associate Dean, Clinical Excellence and Accreditation), Shri Sunil Joshi (Deputy Chief Nursing Officer), and Shri Suresh Rajagopalan (Head, Human Resources Department) felicitated those 29 nurses with certificates and badges.

Shri Atul Patel (Chairman, Charutar Arogya Mandal) and Shri Jagrut Bhatt (Hon. Secretary, Charutar Arogya Mandal) congratulated the nurses.

Nurses also participated in posters, rangoli, quizzes, debate competitions, and cultural programs.

The Institute of Nusing Sciences, a constituent institution of Bhaikaka University, also celebrated International Nusing Day under the leadership of Shri Shailesh Panchal. Students of the college participated in a food stall and presented delicious recipes.
